The Oculus Mesotest II is used to objectively test the contrast sensitivity under the glare from a calibrated source. Contrast sensitivity as the ability to distinguish between objects and backgrounds is essential, for example, for the correct assessment of potential traffic risks, such as pedestrian recognition at the roadside, especially in the dark or reduced visibility, but also in general when perceiving figures and backgrounds. Control of the device is simple, relatively intuitive, and fast.
